Roxanne Bellamy

I have two decades of experience as a writer, editorial director, and brand strategist across industries ranging from finance and tech to DEI, healthcare, and consumer goods. I’ve led messaging development, content strategy, brand identity projects, long-form campaigns, and multichannel content systems. I understand how organizations communicate, how audiences interpret information, and how stories move people to act.

Today, I focus on environmental and coastal storytelling for nonprofits, conservation groups, research institutions, foundations, and public-benefit companies. My work examines the relationship between human communities and natural systems—especially along coasts and waterways. I translate science, policy, and fieldwork, and impact into clear, accessible, and accurate narratives.

I hold a B.A. in English (with honors and distinction) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.Phil. in English from Cambridge University.

Outside of work, I spend most of my time in motion—running, hiking, paddling, snorkeling, camping, and trying to surf. I’ve completed 20 marathons and ultramarathons, including the Kauai 50 and four Boston Marathons in the fastest female qualifying group.

I volunteer. I pick up litter. I donate blood. Those things are important to me.
